We Are Undefeatable is a movement involving 15 charities, including Stroke Association, that encourages people with long term health conditions to be active in a way that works for them. The collaboration is backed by expertise and National Lottery funding from Sport England.
The campaign features the real-life experiences of people getting active despite the ups, downs of their condition. It provides inspiration by showing how small amounts of physical activity can help people to enjoy the little things in life.
Phil had been active his whole life until his stroke left him unable to use the left side of his body. Phil has coped with many challenges since his stroke but with the support of his family, he has found home exercise provides motivation for recovery.
Visit www.weareundefeatable.co.uk to find more stories like Phil’s.
You can also access the Supporters Hub for promotional materials to help spread the campaign message.

Stroke Association and Table Tennis England are on a mission to take ‘ping pong to the people’ and support more people to play table tennis. It is open to groups in England who don’t currently offer Table Tennis at their group.
Table Tennis is fun and accessible for all. It is good for health and well-being, and can be a fun way for people recovering from a stroke to stay active. It can be played by anyone, and a normal dining room or garden table can be turned into a table tennis table by using everyday objects such as cereal boxes, soup cans, toilet rolls or books to make a net.
We are excited to offer free Instant Ping Pong Packs to local support groups in England, enabling stroke survivors to get active and have fun through table tennis!

Promoting swimming for people with long term health conditions
Swim England are the National Governing Body for swimming in England. We work in partnership with the Richmond Group of Charities, including the Stroke Association to develop resources, training and support for hundreds of pool operators committed to making their pools more accessible, inclusive and welcoming, to people with long term health conditions.
Our public facing website has lots of information on swimming with a health condition, helping swimmers to overcome some of the barriers to getting started. We also operate the PoolFinder system, which allows anyone to search for their nearest pool and identify suitability, e.g. does it have accessible changing space, lift or hoist systems to help you get in and out of the pool and which pools have more of a focus on health and wellbeing.
