Joanna McGuinness, Senior Recruitment Manager, THINK

Jo joined the sector in 2007, starting as a Community Fundraiser at Cancer Research UK. Jo went on to lead teams at Muscular Dystrophy UK, Stroke Association, Children 1st and the Royal Free Charity. Jo has also supported charities on an interim basis, developing corporate propositions, running large scale income generating projects and securing significant trust income. Jo is also admin for the 21,000+ member strong Facebook group, Fundraising Chat.

After years working with and leading regional fundraising teams delivering income and excellent supporter stewardship, Jo became known within the sector for championing improvements in the recruitment process and candidate experience, making the move to consciously focus on recruitment, Jo joined THINK Consulting Solutions as they launched THINK Recruitment in April 2024.

At THINK Jo support charities with their recruitment needs, from running full recruitment campaigns, to designing compelling candidate communications and improving the recruitment experience across the third sector.
