This session will explore the huge potential of candidates beyond the non-profit sector. There are thousands of potential candidates out there, waiting to join charities, bringing with them new ideas, fresh perspectives, and possible lived experience to corporate fundraising roles (and beyond!) The session will examine how charities can widen their potential pool of applicants, and how candidates can best prepare for a sector-switch with confidence. Central to this are key EDI themes, which can be embedded into each stage of the recruitment process. Crucially, the session will demonstrate why taking such a positive approach to diversity in teams is so important as corporate fundraisers, and look at some of the long term benefits this can have on teams and long-term impact.
