Need help?

Refreshing your event page or trying an alternate browser/device solves 99% of issues.

If you’re still not able to resolve the issue, you’ll find some common solutions below.

Firstly…we have to ask..is your volume turned up?

In the bottom right corner of the livestream video you may see a volume control that has been inadvertently turned down or muted. Please try increasing the volume here.

If you still can’t hear sound please try playing an alternative video/music on your computer that you know has sound (Click here for a random YouTube video). If you still can’t hear sound/music then most likely your computer volume/speakers are muted or not working. Please try restarting your computer or check your local sound settings.

If this doesn’t work please try an alternative browser or device.

If you’re sure the event you’re attending has started and you still can’t see the livestream video then there may be chance that your computer is blocking it. If you have a firewall active please try temporarily disabling this to see if it resolves the problem.

If you are using a company or university computer or wi-fi then there may be a network firewall that is blocking this. If your IT Administrator is able to ‘whitelist’ the event or temporarily disable the firewall then this may resolve the problem.

If the video is still being blocked, please try accessing the event with an alternative browser,  device or wi-fi connection.

If you’re still not able to access please let us know at [email protected] – we can often provide you with an alternative private link on platforms such as YouTube or Vimeo which your network may be more likely to make security exceptions for.

If you’re sure the event you’re attending has a chatbox and you still can’t see this then there may be chance that your computer is blocking it. If you have a firewall active please try temporarily disabling this to see if it resolves the problem.

If your event has subtitles or closed captions enabled you will see a ‘CC’ button in the bottom right of the video player. Please click this to toggle closed captions on and off.

If you’re sure the event has enabled closed captions but still can’t see the ‘CC’ button please wait 30-60 seconds and then try refreshing the page.

If they are still not appearing please let us know at [email protected]
